A few months ago i remember 5 Live ran a collection of Football shirts to be donated to charity in developing countries. Would it be an idea for the RFL to do something similar to collect old shirts and to donate them to charity or to countries in the development zones.
I have several old Huddresfield Rugby shirts and was wanting to move them on. rather than trying to flog them for coppers on Ebay i would like to do something more constructive with them. i am sure there will be many in the same position
might be a way of getting some publicity and doing something useful with them.
Anyone got any ideas or who i should contact at the RFL

I think it's a great idea, and if the RFL can't help, how about the community liaison person at our own clubs?

I may save some of my more treasured ones (and no there haven't been that many in recent years), but between me and the kids, I must have about 25 most of which I would give away.
I have a clear out twice a year and give to the local Hospice shop, not sure why I keep our shirts

I seem to remember Huddersfield sending a load of kit over to PNG a few years back via Stanley Gene when he went over at the end of the season.
Its a Great Idea, just needs someone to organise it.
