are the bulls back with the begging bowl??? : Sat Jun 02, 2012 10:19 am
an independent financial review has taken place at the bulls and found that they still need £1.2million to avoid collapse. Caisley states that £500,000 is covered by sponsorship and investments but that still leaves £700,000!

where is that going to come from?

what happens to the money people have already paid if they do still go under?

They budgeted to lose £1m. Did that go into the license bid? How well did KPMG scrutinise their bid. What a joke.

How can they keep asking for money without even considering selling their better players (i.e Whitehead/Bateman etc) and slashing the high earners in their squad to raise funds? Having their cake and eating it comes to mind...

Hope they pull through it though, Bradford are a great club but have been badly managed - my club Salford are usually criticised for not pushing the boat out but I'd rather be in the SL spending what we can afford rather than chasing the dream and be in the brown stuff not long after

This was always likely to happen. Too many people got overcome at the emotion and timescale put on things by Hood and handed over cash without asking the right questions or getting acceptable answers.

The truth is a different team should have been awarded that license that Bradford got.

But they're too big a club - seeped in history and success.

The license system suits the RFL down to the ground. It is a perfect mechanism for putting into SL their preferred clubs.

Bradford fans need to dig deeper into their pockets or heaven forbid - the club may have to sell one or two players and that's a sacrifice too far. When they've done this they should then go back to paying full whack for a season ticket so that the club doesn't lose £100k a month.

Come on Bradford fans - sort this mess out.

Shows what a farce RL administration is. The RFL are completely and utterly incompetent.

And to think it's them that control the salary cap. Put your hand up if you believe there aren't widespread breaches of cap rules going on?

Feel sorry for the fans who put the money in. Sounds like the 500k was used to save the former directors from having to pay up.
