Toulouse for Championship in 2017, Super League in 2021!

Avignon for Championship in 2021, Super League in 2022!

Bradford Bulls and York City Knights sit in clear top two positions in League One. They are likely to be promoted into the Championship at years' end, in place of Swinton and Rochdale. This will enhance an already exciting competitive Championship in 2019, assuming that Toronto and perhaps Toulouse get promoted to Super League at the end of this season, while perhaps Widnes and Salford get demoted.

Bradford is an M62 club with a very large fan base, an ambitious club, which will be hoping to get promoted back into Super League sooner rather than later. York City Knights is in some sense an English expansion team which is based in a historic part of northern England. Both these clubs therefore bring something new and welcome to the Championship. If New York City enters the Championship in the next few years, as is mooted, it will also create an interesting clash with the old York. There is also a possibility that another French club, likely Avignon, as well as Boston, could join the Championship in the next three years.

Until the Super League competition is possibly expanded in time for the 2022 TV contract, it will likely be one up one down promotion and relegation between Super League and the Championship for the next three years. So the Championship is likely to remain an interesting place for the next three years, and perhaps longer.

With Toronto and Toulouse in there, it should be competitive.

You need to come to terms with the ascension of Toronto and perhaps Toulouse into Super League.

If the inclusion of Toronto and Toulouse would have a major effect on the next TV deal, they should be "promoted" regardless.
Unfortunately, this may just be wishful thinking but, "we" could do with finding out if there are tangible benefits to the global expansion project.

you mean if GH doesn't get his way.

SL is propping up the RFL, Mr Leneghan is right in what he says, why should the top clubs carry failed teams?

Do Toronto have a tv deal with anyone on Canada?

I know they have a deal with Freesports/Premier Sports but that’s in UK. I can’t see Sky allowing anyone else to televise superleague games in UK.

Plus it doesn’t really do much to aid expansion in Canada.

Edit: they do with Gametv who are a cable channel in Canada plus a free online streaming service offered by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

I guess when the Toronto bandwagon falls off the rails, then one of these will be ready and waiting to take their place.

I believe both Bradford and York would enhance the Championship.
