The Leigh chairman is claiming he almost signed Ben Barba, Jackson Hastings and Jarryd Hayne last season.

1) Mike Latham is chairman....he didn't claim anything
2) Derek Beaumont tried to sign Ben Barba pre-season, and Hastings towards the end which is correct, for last season
3) Beaumont also tried to sign Jarryd Hayne for the 'middle 8's' in 2016, but he would have only been available for 4 of the games, so it came to nothing.
