So the top five play-offs are about to get underway. Where is Wakey?

You know that club who claimed to be an 'established top five club' not too long ago but now after dodging the drop by a narrow margin have celebratory music over the tannoy, fans on the pitch and smalltime chants of 'we are Super League'. So much for being an 'established top five club.

I'd like to see Cas be GF winners btw, the lesser of five evils.

I know you support a championship club, but do you really need to be so bitter about a club surviving a relegation battle?

The fans, the members, the people there.. from the day I stepped foot onto that field at the AJ Bell Stadium,I knew I would love that club for the rest of my life. "Jackson Hastings"..

and yes we have beaten Salford convincingly three times already this season

Not quite sure where this comes from and I've heard it before but in the three games we have played Wigan this season the scores have been

22-30
26-30
28-12

Wigan have won all three four if you include the pre season friendly 18-28

I don't see any convincing scorelines there unless you want to say a 14 point win at the DW is infact that ?

I'd take Wigan to beat Salford - just - but reckon they'd be good enough to KO wire or cas in their 2nd bite game.

I’m just hoping that we are competitive. It’s been infuriating watching us all season, our pack is more than good enough but we could play for hours and not find a way to score at times. If everything clicks we may scrape something at Warrington, but there’s more chance of me getting a Great Britain call up than us getting to Old Trafford. Saints v Wigan in the grand final, Wigan to win (that’s what I’m hoping anyway as I have money on it  )

Salford will be swatted aside by wigan, like a fly. We've seen this so many times before, these pretend teams can never, ever hack it when it's serious business and there's grand finals to be contested and titles to be won. Remember when huddersfield used to think they were a big player? Swatted aside every time.

House always wins. Saints Wigan GF. Still, no one outside of Leeds, bulls, Wigan or saints has won a gf and bulls was nearly 15 years ago.

We can be bold enough to make a stand and do battle for our views and beliefs. But we must strive to be mature enough not to resort to unnecessary personal attacks upon people with opposing views.

Re: The race for Old Trafford : Tue Sep 17, 2019 5:46 pm
For me I think

Week 1

Cas to beat wire
Salford to push Wigan close but Wigan win

Week 2

Saints to beat wigan
Cas to pip salford

Week 3

Wigan beat cas

Week 4

Wigan beat saints.

He’s no more a Widnes fans than I am.

Ever found it strange how all the trolls on here all have the same POV on everything and all don’t like the same three clubs (Wire Wakey and Leigh)?

Another somewhat disrespectful/arrogant Saints fan, with a short memory. Who'd have thought it.
Although Wigan and Saints have all the pedigree, especially in SL finals, as you have seen over the past few seasons, the favourite doesn't always win the big prize.
Having said that, both Warrington and Cas would need a huge lift in form and Salford, although playing some great stuff at the moment, lack experience in play off rugby but, in a season full of surprises, expect the unexpected.
