Toulouse for Championship in 2017, Super League in 2021!

Avignon for Championship in 2021, Super League in 2022!

Papua-New Guinea lost narrowly to the powerful Fijian Bati team 22-20 earlier today.

In its match against Great Britain, to be played in Port Moresby, Papua-New Guinea will have the talents of some real stars in Justin Olam (Melbourne), Alexander Johnston (South Sydney), Edene Gebbie (South Sydney), Rhyse Martin (Leeds), and possibly David Mead (Catalans) to choose from.

It is going to be no walkover, and not even a guaranteed win, for Great Britain next weekend, given the injuries the Wayne Bennett coached team has suffered.

"I'm sorry, but I would hope that we would beat Cas with a 1 day turnaround."

An arrogant Wigan fan a few days before we stuffed them 18-4 at the JJB.

Don't forget the formidable Gary Lo who scored a try in every super league game he played for Castleford Tigers in 2018 but is now playing in France because of "other reasons".

Garry Lo may not be playing, because of the great back line talent that Papua-New Guinea has available at this time.

If David Mead plays then I would expect the PNG outside backs to totally outplay the British outside backs.

It is a pity that star PNG hooker James Segeyaro cannot play, because of a ban by the NRL following the results of a drug test recently.

It’s not a pity when a professional sportsman cannot play because he’s taken drugs.

It is a pity that he ingested the drugs, and subsequently was caught, and forced to stand down from playing rugby league indefinitely.
