Not just you, I would agree - Everything Pearson has said is bang on IMO, still nobody likes talking the hard facts on Toronoto, they would rather talk about these fairy tales where tickets touts are selling Toronto tickets outside of the ground at $200.

If the cap is live, i’m not clear on why dispensations are required for players who are de-registered. Rovers are apparently under the cap anyway.

I’m in favour of P&R, and the rules are the rules. However, it is a massive and massively difficult gap to bridge in either direction.

I’ve got some sympathy for his broad ‘stop moaning’ theme, although it is a difficult point to make without moaning yourself. I think he distracts/detracts from his argument by conflating cap space with the money spent on SBW because they’re different issues.

The BetFred thing is a personal belief vs contractual obligation matter. Outside of that, concerns over gambling companies sponsorship in sports does seem to be growing. And I vaguely recall SL having turned down another offer in the past, so it is clearly an issue where there’s a diversity of opinion.

To get SBW in on a marquee spot didn't they have to move Lussick out of a marquee spot? That shifted his enormous salary onto the the cap (probably at least an additional £150k (on top of the £150k already counted) judging by Lutele's salary). So directly and indirectly, the signing of SBW will have limited their cap space significantly.

Adam Pearson is obviously threatened that Toronoto will achieve more than Hull with this season.

That wasnt let in. They got promoted through the divisions.

Pearson can also go French Connection UK himself by bringing up the betfred/SBW thing.

SBW has no obligation to Betfred and if he doesnt want to wear a top with the betfred logo printed on it then that should be respected.

“I read all this rubbish about how we’re losing our best players to the NRL. It’s nonsense.

“The players coming over here are far superior to the ones going out there.

“We’ve Gareth Widdop back, George Burgess, Manu Ma’u, James Maloney at Catalans but who are the players going to the NRL? They’re all coming here.

“So let’s promote that rather than keep going on about players leaving.

Stop speaking Adam. You are clueless.

Yes this is how I see it. Lussick was the marquee player before SBW.

So really they need to get shut of either Leutele or Lussick to free up some cap room.

I suspect that some of the players they currently have are not really up to Super League, which ones will become clear after a few weeks.
