Luke Dorn is living proof............ : Fri Mar 06, 2009 10:09 pm
That Salford can take a good player, turn him into a scapegoat, release him and watch him beat us.

Honestly, is there something is that water at this club??????

I think we are going to do the same with Smith.

Anyone else sick of excuses, player power, Floridagate, viruses, injuries? It has just become boring, even being disappointed is boring, it's been going on too long.
TO THE PLAYERS:-
Please, no player power, no disputes in training, no clicks, no "coach has lost the dressing room". Just play the game to the best of your ablity and change the bad habits of this club.

the only player power that could be at the club would come from alker, wilshere, littler and fitzy i persume? longest serving? what we need is a strong minded young coach who wont stand for poop from so called senior players, just like huddersfields new coach!

I have to agree with the opening comment.

As a Cas fan I was somewhat underwhelmed when we signed Luke Dorn for 2008 largely based on a number of negative opinions expressed by Salford fans about his time with you in 2007.

As it was he turned out to be one of our best players last season and I don't think there was a single Cas fan that wasn't very disappointed with the clubs decision to not extend his stay.

That said, every club seems to have an ability to turn decent players into cack. There are quite a number of ex Cas players in the current side at Huddersfield that all seem to be playing way better than they did with Cas. Scott Moore was largely criticised by our fans last season but in both games I've seen of Hudds on SKY this year he's been outstanding.

 Love him or hate him, 163 consecutive appearances should make Stuart Littler a Salford legend in anyone's book

I always thought Dorn was OK for us, in a poor team.

Our pack that year were awful and he stood no chance.

He was also asked to fill Dunneman's role, which was never going to suit him.

I've always rated him and am please to see him doing well (just not so much against us?! :? )

To die of thirst we have no fear.
As long as we get Holts' beer!!!!

Luke Dorn was garbage at the Willows for one very good reason, he didn't have a scrum half to play alongside!!!

At Cas he played a lot from full back and scored a lot of tries and last night he had Danny Orr pulling the strings.

He is not a play maker!! Anything he did last night cannot be judged very well as Albert Steptoe could have looked good against us. He did not look so crash hot against Wigan the week before whereas Danny Orr did look back to near his best.
