You mean the over paid rats that they signed!!!!!!!!!
People keep saying that simms does all the negotiating. What are his qualifications for that job? Football dirctor my armpit!! Jobs for the boys.... same old story. we are wasting money on him that could be used to buy better quality players.
I believe It's the coach that ultimately decides who Salford sign within their player budget and not Steve Simms. I'm informed that Simms discusses with agents which players are available and roughly what the players terms are and then he goes to the coach with a long list of players out of contract.
Just because Simms negotiates the contracts after the coach tells Simms he wants players X,Y & Z does not mean Simms is responsible for choosing who Salford sign.
As for Simms qualifications for negotiating contracts, he's been doing the job for several years now so I'm pretty sure he's qualified more than most to negotiate financial terms with players agents!
As for the overpaid rats comment, let's just say teams never know what you have until after they have signed certain players. It's a risk signing any player and the bad eggs don't always surface straight away. I'm sure all clubs suffer them, it's how you deal with them that counts.
As for wasting money on Simms that could be spent on better players isn't true because Simms salary is not in the players salary cap. . . and as far as I'm aware Salford are their maximum cap for their level of income.
