I'm an avid fan home and away come win or lose,like the 300 or so other die hard reds fans there tonight i didn't expect us in a million years to go to saints and win tonight!But ive come home a lot happy tonight with at least seeing my team give there best and a 100% improvement on our last 3 outings!
We were never gonna even get close to winning tonight,everyone knew that from the off,but like many others i was hoping for a bit of spirit,grit and determination from all the lads pulling on the salford jersey tonight!We weren't let down.Yes you could see the different in class of players on show,yes we did give away stupid errors etc and making things a lot harder for ourselves!But we did look a completely different outfit from our last previous 3 games!Certain players stood out for me tonight....Malc imo man of match again,to see him track roby down over half the pitch was the highlight of the night for me,Big improvement and work rate from Nashie,Luke Swain best game for him so far,Smith looked twice as aware and lively from what he's produced so far,Ratchford was dying to get involved in as mush of the game as he could(even though still deffo wasted on the wing,great goals kicked too)Parker looked a lot more at ease and able to get on with his own game,Adamson some great running and tackling,a few hints of what jordan turner is capable of,and overall a team playing together that looked half interested as playing as a team and not making themselves an embaresment!
If any players are reading this...WELL DONE LADS AND KICK ON FROM HERE...things can't get worse and that was half a step in the right direction tonight.Build on it for next week and keep your chins up!.....oh and by the way!!there is a ceratin player for Wigan who realy desreves getting roughed up a bit

i'll second that! In the car on the way home it didn't feel like a defeat to us! Played pretty well tonight and our defence was a million times better! Thought the ref had a shocker towards us! The amount of times they were lying on and didn't get penalised but as soon as we did it, penalty straight away! Typical last 20 mins though when we were out of the game he started giving us more penalties to even it up a bit! nice person! Anyway all in all very pleased with the lads and effort shown!

Get real you muppet.We were away at one of the top 2 teams after getting played off the park in the last 3 games by average teams!!
Were you there tonight?Did you not see a big improvement on the last 3 games?...Ok so what is acceptable playing away at one of the best teams in s/l on the back of 3 woeful gutless performances,after only 5 games into a 3 year super league franchise period???perhaps in your eyes we should have beed playing em off the park running rings round em and 30-0 up!!!
Give up on being so negative my little israeli friend and try giving the team some support(upps sorry your prob one of fans who stands there with ur train spotting jotter looking out for players to call and boo instead of getting behind the team)

it never should of been 20-0 at half time though! one of the tries should of been a knock on under the high bomb and i would of liked to of seen the penalty count in that 1st half! silverwood is a joke! Anyway all the salford fans clapped the lads off at half time coz they knew they had put 100% effort in!

yeah i went and like i've said on the way home we were all happy in the car even though we got beat coz of the effort and commitment shown by the players!

I knew before i opened the site that there would be a post from some guys saying 'well i feel happier now...a much better performance'
sorry guys a 38-12 loss is a hammering (for a team with ambitions).
So the margin of only 26 points and not the mauling we received against two lesser teams is NOT acceptable whoever it is against..
After opening match this season is turning in to a disaster..This Macrae
is USELESS....(in my humble opinion of course and forums are for stating opinions)
