Sadly, it is that cohesion that doesn't seem to be on some of the players agendas. Witness Rob Parker, our Captain, in the Willows Bar after the game. There is something very, very wrong here and it is so painfully reminiscent of the final days of Karl Harrisons leadership.

Can I ask what Parker did or didn't do?

He was sat away from the other groups of players and looked utterly dejected to me. A couple of the younger lads were with him but none of the senior pro's. (Maybe I just saw one brief candid moment - who knows?)But, I felt the abuse he received as a likely contributory factor to his obvious demeanour. Sorry, but I felt sorry for the bloke - I doubt he asked for the Poisoned Chalice that being Alkers' successor would be, particularly in such covert circumstances.

You have to wonder what happened during Karl Harrison's last season. Did the players fall out in Florida that year? I know we were all annoyed when the likes of Coley, Robinson and Dorn were putting in some seriously lack lustre performances, but previous to that Coley and Robinson had always seemed quite loyal to the club.

How many of that team are left? I remain convinced that there is leadership issue, that doesn't seem to be fixed by changing the manager.

I hope you stick by your coach.
He didn't fare too well over in Aus but he set a lot of structures moving that saw both Hull and Saints turn out decent sides with good youth.
Give him a season at least i say

He was shot in both arms , and both legs. He later died because of his injuries. Tommy 25th March 2007.

Salford City Reds are the National League Champions again and nobody will ever win a Grand Final more dramatically than this. Division One champions, Grand Final winners, winners of the Northern Rail Cup; everything their hearts desired. Down and out? Not a bit of it, they are never out. Memories are made of this forever and a day, Salford fans will ask "where did you watch the 2008 Grand Final? Where did you see John Wilshere save the day with the last kick of the ball?"

Maybe we got it wrong regarding the coley and robinson situation and they weren't the problem within the club!

They have long gone and yet were still stuck with problems within the camp.

something will happen about the stadium, i believe this because peel holdings need that land developed more than we need a stadium.

Difficult games ahead...5-4 to be sacked and a series of gutless performances I think it is a matter of when rather than if.

Howard Clague was at the last meeting. A resume of what he said was posted on here by Shirley. To summarise:

> Peel are building the stadium. As a result they will own it too. In truth, they saved the project’s bacon when Red City Developments went into administration.
> There’s no retail element involved, as yet. Even if there were, the revenue goes to Peel, just as the revenue for match day food, refreshements etc. So the retail issue isn’t really a concern for us now.
> The stadium’s redesign (a tweak rather than a scaling down) means the project has to go through the planning/go-ahead process again. This should be a formality as the sticking point last time was the retail element.
> The redesign means that certain elements that were in the last proposal may not be included. This includes the standing area. These elements will be up for discussion between the club and Peel.
> Salford can still rent the stadium at a ‘peppercorn’ rate.
> Salford’s revenue will come from gates reciepts and sponsorship, both of which are planned to be more than we get now.
> Salford City College, a 25,000 student facility built into the project, would mean that the stadium’s food/refreshments area will be used through the year. Due to the volume of consumers, it promises to be one of the best/most capable in the country (as far as those built-in stadiums is concerned).
