Castlefords new scaled down stadia plans look quite impressive 13K, they even have a floor plan layout on their website so they know whats going to be where, they even have a Tigers supporters bar in one stand...has anyone mananged to see an interior layout plan of our stands yet?

If you can find the planning application on the Salford council website the detailed plans of every level are on there - they take some finding though as there are a lot of pdfs attached to the application.

Looking good. Have you gne for the 15000 option?

What is the capacity of each stand? Which do you think will be the new shed and which will be the away end/side?

Can't wait for our first meeting there. Almost a home match for east-side warringtonians.

Where have you got that from? I can't even find any evidence of the project going to tender. The Greater Manchester Local Travel plan from March this year lists it as a "longer term" scheme very much linked in with the progress of the Port Salford development (according to tenders, the contracts for the design work for the port were due to commence this month) and has no budgeted spend on it this year.

From http://www.tfgm.com/ltp3/documents/LAIP ... 100511.pdf

I had a little look while on a mooch today and the road that runs behind the DW Soccerdome / chillfactor/ golf place is a united Utilities sludge treatment centre and the road runs right allong the back and i recon comes out at the roundabout @ the motorway juntion (where the old terrace houses use to be) where there is a locked gate.....soo....infact that the road is already there must save time when building this bridge (when it does get planning permission) that and their doing the drains on the other side of the canal last time i went for a look

i recon within the next two years there will be a bridge which will be great news for everyone :)

Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot
Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good

sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league

Can't help but feel they should have gone for the 15,000 option first time. That would mean possible semi-finals at the venue, internationals, maybe championship final. At 12k it has nothing over LSV for those events. A little more put in would have meant a lot more out of it..

Location? I reckon it may well benifit come semi finals from being a halfway house between the W.Yorks teams and Saints/Wigan/Wire.

Passed the new stadium site on Tuesday and the entrance from the A57 is in the process of being widened, plus the whole of the original lay-by appears to have been dug up and new pipes etc being laid looking from the Makro end coming into Peel Green.

Fair point, but it would have been guaranteed big games had it been 15k.

Any chance of getting another team to use the stadium? FC United or Man United reserves would be daft to turn it down surely?

Long standing rumour that Sale Sharks will be our co-tenants
