If Salford have to pay so much, then i reckon they will be bankrupt within 3 years.



At present you are averaging around 4k spectators which probably works out at about £80k income per match.



Using the alleged rental price per year, then all or most of your probable gate revenue will be going on just playing in the stadium.

You dont own the stadium, Peel do, so they will take all the money from conferencing etc on none match days

Hence Salfords only income will be from the Sky money around £1 million a year.

Out of that you will be expected to pay for all the playing, coaching and admin staff.

We make more on corporate than crowds apparently....plus dcenet sponsorship deals...so hopfeully it will end up being comparable with the willows....where we have had to spend a lot on insurance...match days...maintenance etc -0 all this included in new staidum rental

I can see the new stadium will kill the atmosphere with seating along the touchline

Took another ride down there again today.

Looks like the access road from the A57 works have started.

The artificial training pitch is compete.

What looks like the floodlights have been delivered.

Also looks like the building of the main stand is pretty much complete on the outside.



Very exciting times when you ride round the perimeter and see the scale of the project.

You only have to look at the latest accounts from Wigan, they paid just under 200k for stadium rental so 800k seems a bit high.

Why not go in the new shed behind the goal, I'm looking forward to having an "end" like the stretford end or the Kop will be great imo advantageous to fans n players alike.

anyway feel free to pick holes out of the following maths, but if we are optamistic for a change and say we can fill the corporate seats for every game and get gates of around 8k at 20 quid a ticket we should be comming away with a nice little proffit.



corporate holds 750@ 75 per head = 56250 x 14 = 787500



8k crowd x 20 = 160000 x 14 = 2240000



add them together (my calculator is in meltdown) = 3027500 then minus costs......

Just passed the stadium and realised that seating stand is quite shallow, is there any other stadium with stands like this. ? I’m just concerned that I won’t be able to achieve the same view I currently have where I stand in the shed ?

You'll get a cracking view from there. It's the ends you've got be concerned about.

I stand just before the barriers at the back of the shed, what row(meaning A-Z) would suit me at the new ground, this info would be helpful because the sooner I now the quicker I can put my name down for season tickets.

yeah assuming 8k a full paid tickets, couldnt be d going into it that deep! i was just killing time in work! plus ive got no idea what % of crowd are jnr/oap/freemans! the freemans thing isnt so bad for the club though, if ive ever got in free I spend it behind the bar anyway.....

Noticed floodlights going up today!

I think we are seeing accelerated construction on our stadium, as Buckingham have just picked up the contract for Etihad Campus works, after impressing with other smaller contracts at Eastlands. Still, it looks more impressive each time I see it, and driving past yesterday saw some fellas in a cherry picker installing something on the underside edge of the Main Stand roof, possibly PA or floodlights.



Strangely looking forward to our last game at The Willows. It feels like the end of an old, fairly unsuccessful era and the dawn of a new one where anything is possible. We've all got to believe that this is our time and get a buzz around the club. Can't wait to move into our new home.
