With Peel holding all the cards I wouldn't be suprised to see them whore it out as much as possible. So don't be suprised to see us share the stadium with someone else like Sale Sharks etc...

It's amazing how we've gone from being touted as the richest team in SL to being in the exact same position we are now. We'll have no extra income from retail, gigs being held at the stadium, or from the revenue made from the college being there. At least we'll have the best stadium in the national leagues.

For an astute business man, I'm sorry but JW as completely f**ked up on this one.

as i've said, peel need us more than the other way.
the only way that land can be developed is for a stadium for salford.
wilkinson should be dictating to them, not the other way round.

I think Howard mentioned that Salford would be the sole tenants. I may be doing him a disservice there though, so don’t quote me on it.

You need to look at the bigger picture pal our hopes are all made of dreams now. If we get a bigger crowd blah blah blah .................. if we don't , shiney stadium or not we're f**ked. Crowds merchandising and corporate hospitality are the only revenues we will have coming in now. I really hope that we ge the crowds needed cos without it my friend we won't be getting another franchise.

Rumours are Salford will be the main primary tenants but peel have done a deal with Manchester Utd for the reserve team to play there! ... Definately NO Sale Sharks!

OK you tell me what any other SL club has coming in financially other than Gate reciepts, Merchandising, Sponsorship and TV money?

I am looking at the the bigger picture and as far as Salford are concerned it's about raising the profile and offering better facilities in a better location and attracting more fans through the turnstiles.

Let's be honest it just ain't going to happen down the Willows is it my friend?

Thats probably why its not getting built. FWIW what would he care anyway, do you think it bothers him apart from losing the rent that a shop has had to close down in the Trafford Centre because there's a recession on?

Things change over time and who's to say that in a couple of years the Council feel the stadiums not a worthy cause anymore but the port is and they backtrack on one for use on that land. Wouldn't surprise me.

Anyway get back on topic.
