 Not a bad reflection of the "Salford" opinion. My Cas opinion is on a very similar vein. Not sure how many Salford fans but the majority there to support their team. There was the element of the "idiot" factor and, yes, we all have them. In 25 years of watching Cas I can remember only one other incident that was worse than last night and that was the Hull fans at Headingley in some semi final or other. The small group of Salford fans that caused the trouble last night should have been sorted out by our incompetent stewards at half time - the big guy with the goatee, the dark haired lad who was tanked up and pacing around looking for trouble (credit to the Cas fans for not biting) and the "father of the year" who was eventually ejected and his poor son had to go too. The eventual "flare & bottle" scenario could have been averted if our stewards had "balls".
I have also slated various quarters of the Cas faithful in the past for behaviour and comments that are inappropriate for a family sport so it's not just one way.
Finally, on the issue of segregation - I think all fans should be able to sit or stand where they want but I also feel that they should be able to feel comfortable wherever that is. However, I hope we're not in the same end at Murrayfield as the idiots last night. Any other Salford fans I'm fine with.
See my post earlier on from a Halifax fan, I watched the game as a neutral.
A lot of these Cas fans have a short memory, am i mistaken in thinking it kicked off in your main end a few years ago due to nobs throwin bottles and the like when we turned you lt over. Not condoning anyones behaviour but lets not come on here givin it the Castleford whiter than white eh?

Gawd your going back a while here, and it didnt exactly happen like that.
As for the smoke bombs there illegal at any sporting venue in the UK, when they told me at the beginning of the match they had them i was a bit dubious like, but personally i dont mind them if there used "properly" not being thrown onto the pitch tut tut... you know who you are.
Probably 5 years tops, lets not make it sound like it was in the 70s or sumthin, as it happens it was exactly like that bottles sweets etc being thrown so to try and differntiate with what the salford fan did yesterday you are wrong
The williows is a real quality ground that we're all jelous of though right
I'll never forget or forgive you lot for singing 'Cas are going down' a few years ago and treating us like sh** in Manchesta throwing bottles etc, thats what made that hammering we give you last night so much sweeter
obviously gearing up for s*** at Wembley tommorow.
So everyone who acts up in this manner is a football fan, are they? Ignoring the anti-United comment which clearly shows some footballing interest from yourself, if it's the same lad I'm thinking of, going off the descriptions on here, he's not known for going to the football. Just for acting the prick at Salford games. So just think before opening your gob. Just because someone acts up it doesn't mean they're a football fan or vice versa.
As for the performance. I can't comment, but it wasn't too much of a surprise to me. It's still early days, we've no danger of going down and we've got three years to get it right. Let's not get too down just yet.
What a fookin disgrace that display was last night. Big phil tried hard & myler but what can he do with the other numpties on the team. Fitzy positioning is awful & letting the ball bounce your always asking for trouble.
I could go on all day one thing i will say is although i am not a fan of paul it was quite noticable he had an impact when he came on.
As for the fans branding it as football holigisam thats just OTT. There were a few things thrown by the usual numpties but nothing else.
Same old same old.....
We can now look forward to a 10,000 capacity against quins next friday

GT, this statement just about sums up why Salford still have an away following.
The standard of rugby our club has produced since the early part of 2006 season, is nothing short of a disgrace. I don't care who went last year and if they enjoyed the success................it was still poor quality.
It's about time the long suffering, dedicated, fee paying fan was rewarded. 35 years of my money, dedication and support, with no major reward/big day out.......that is just wrong
[quote="LewisJ23"]Wern't may Salford fans there if you ask me expected a lot more from fans which must have thought they had a chance of getting their first win tonight. Was stood at the railway end in the second half and the idiot that threw the flair deserves banning for life ! obviously gearing up for s*** at Wembley tommorow.
sorry Lewis 123. we are not all utd fans, so dont tar us all with the same brush. i made my way in the 2nd half in the cas end and was made very welcolme. who ever threw the flare was an idiot and was a embarasment to the club. we got beat by a team who wanted it end of.
