I've enjoyed this thread so much it's sad to think it's coming to an end.

right again , simms and barker know nothing , barker has been reading our forum and felt he better write something soon about salford , for simms to say we cannot afford him ,well how would he know how much much he is on ,simple ,talks have taken place , they can go into denial as much as they want , but yous heard it hear first , these are the type of players we are now trying to sign , and as soon as i hear anymore gossip ,yous all we be the first to know , thats why im keeping the faith

Goodnight , I thought this was dead and buried after 400 replies and 20,000 views , it's now on 31,000 +

We've still got 157 days of speculating to go before the start of next season.
I'm sure Salford will still be trying to add to the squad

I think over the last few weeks the influence of this forum has been shown ( the Web shop ) after the discussion on here on now the press denial's Re Briers , Morley and Kevin Sinfield are as a direct result of discussions on here.

Most people who read or post on here take the speculation with a pinch of salt , even if it pertains to be ' in the know ' .
Some of us know stuff and don't pass it on , others will blurt it out and take the plaudits if true or the backlash if not ,
I seem to recall Simms proclaiming we had offers in for Craig Gower & Anthony Minichello. and that was far more embarassing than picking up on idle gossip off a fans forum and believing it.

anyway what's this I hear about Billy Slater coming in as cover for Luke Patten ....

Wasn't the Gower rumour confirmed by the man himself. He stated, the offer from Salford wasn't all that great and chose to turn it down.

Back on topic. After all Smithy's promises, I did keep the faith. That was until the Sinfield was named as the very person we were supposedly signing. Then it was obvious that, we weren't getting a big name after all. Oh well. Thanks for the entertainment Smithy!!!! You are legend.
