GT, this statement just about sums up why Salford still have an away following.
The standard of rugby our club has produced since the early part of 2006 season, is nothing short of a disgrace. I don't care who went last year and if they enjoyed the success................it was still poor quality.
It's about time the long suffering, dedicated, fee paying fan was rewarded. 35 years of my money, dedication and support, with no major reward/big day out.......that is just wrong
A total fookin disgrace.........end of
Agree totally, in three years time when we've been languishing in the bottom two for the whole of our franchise and with no new ground on the horizon, those of you who are stating this 'we've got three years b*llshit' will be crying that you'd wished they'd tried a little harder when we get kicked out. If anyone feels that getting hammered 52-16 is acceptable for now then you want your heads testing. Castleford, Wakefield and Hull KR with no great disrespect have just about scraped a licence too but considering they will compete, unlike our lot, I don't think they'll be sweating on another three years will they. Oh and for all of you who state its not time to change the squad and give the kids a chance, why the hell not? If they're good enough they're old enough, at least they might show some effort unlike some of our senior players and maybe, just maybe influence those senior players to actually start to put some pride in the shirt when they get another chance.

sorry Lewis 123. we are not all utd fans, so dont tar us all with the same brush.
In the same way, don't tar all United fans with the same brush.
And I realise we've gone a long, long time without any success and have seen nothing but poor rugby for the past few years. I know nothing's improved nor changed since sacking Harrison. But we're three games into a three year chance to build a competitive side. Let's look at the bigger picture for once.

I think the point some people are making is that despite having a 3 year franchise we have still done the same as if there is still promotion/relegation in bringing over a load of seemingly average overseas players just for the sake of it. Imagine the positive image Salford would've given out by being the first superleague club to say "We're not going to fill our overseas quota as we'll be giving youth it's chance and build our side around them for the next 3 years." The fans would see where the club are coming from and lets be honest it is unlikely we'd have played any worse than in the last 2 games.
Its gonna be a long horrible season but we've seen it all before, hopefully we'll improve as we go on. Whatever happens though I'll support them ever more
Times have changed. It's not like the Old Days, when we can do anything we want. A refusal is not the act of a friend. If Don Corleone had all the judges, and the politicians in New York, then he must share them, or let us others use them. He must let us draw the water from the well. Certainly he can present a bill for such services; after all... we are not Communists.
Herein lies the problem - whilst the fans will adamantly declare "Salford till I die" a percentage of the team aren't committed to "Salford while I'm here" judging by last nights display. I hope its a blip and I eat my words.............

Who are these kids you talk about?surely not the ones I watched play Castleford reserves yesterday.Only two of those Ratchford and Sidlow look anywhere near Super League level and McRae knows this.To throw them all into the first team at the moment would ruin them for the future. You think 52-16 looks bad,try 100-16 a few times and see what our licence application looks like.
I'm not being complacent, the last two performances have been abysmal, but let McRae sort it out. He's right, the pace of Super League is what's killing us at the moment,as it does most teams that get promoted.Remember under Karl Harrison did we lose something like 10 on the trot?yet he managed to improve us gradually by not panicking until it went tits up in the final season.
