It's pleasing to see via the new webcam that the contractors are still ploughing on with the work on a bitterly cold frosty Saturday morning. Also noticed over the past two days that they have a huge workforce that start early and finish late.

At this rate the new stadium could be finished early for our playoff semi-final eliminator v Wigan.

Just had a look at the HJ's wiki page (I know, wikipedia isn't exactly the best source of info.) and it states that the capacity of the HJ stadium is 13,024 yet the record attendance is 14,206. Huh?

Heard steel erection starts late next week or Monday at the latest if all goes well with the weather?

I suspected as much re the piles and foundations.

However phase1 Salford is only really one decent sized stand with facilities in it. The facilities do look excellent though.
The other stands are pretty basic metal and concrete sheds with just a few rows of terracing or seating. Shouldnt take long to put them together.
Especially as they dont have anything other than basic facilities within.

Wires ground has both its main stand and one stand behind the goal with corporate hospitality facilities.
The two terraces are also bigger than those planned initially for Salford.

It its true that Steelwork starts going up next week, then that for me says a finish by end of August is a possibility.
If so then come mid June the stadium will probably be externally complete. With only internal fit out to be done.

Most of this work has been to erect the Buckingham banner at the back.
