What in the blue hell is going on??????????? : Sat Mar 07, 2009 12:05 am
Players comments in interviews
There seems to be alot of cliches and spoon fed statements being made the players.
Overpaid Austalians
When will we learn? It doesn't do any good brining in the Aussies. What would you do if you travelled halfway around the world to get thumped and play in our rubbish facilities. I always feel embarrassed when I see the inside of our changing rooms on sky, amateur players would complain about them. The overseas props we have should be big enough and tough enough to take on any side in SL.
Last Season
The younger players, albeit hindered by Gardner, showed some signs of class and we looked much more like a team than we do now.
Top Grade Experience
The amount of of Top Grade Experience be it SL or NRL means we should not be struggling to get with the pace of SL.
So what in the blue hell is going on???????????
It doesn't seem to matter what players have come and gone and what coaches have come and gone. There are three common factors over the last 10 years, the chairman, Mal Alker and the results.
You can't question Wilky his hands are tied by the salary cap. Alker I always felt was the one player keeping the team on its feet, although I have to say his ego seems to have got far too big. The results have always been poor.
So why can't we bring in good players and get then to perform at the top level?
