I don't know if it's my age but I've softened on SW a lot in the last year, and his loss -
another loss to RU is both sad and alarming.
Losing knowledgeable coaches to RU, or knowledgeable players pursuing a RU coaching career, is far more damaging to the game than losing players. They'll improve the product and RL will slip further back towards oblivion.
They rarely come back, and you seldom hear of RU coaches coming to league to learn new skills or try something new. Why? Money? Partly. I'm sure SW could have got a gig in Aus if we wanted a new RL challenge so i suspect the move to RU is for a number of reasons, but it's still bad news.
