Was just reading the article below on the Guardian about the HJ preparing for games, and Karl mentions a fans forum that took place last week... https://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/news/18539202.warrington-wolves-getting-halliwell-jones-stadium-ready-matches-behind-closed-doors/ I'm a season ticket holder (Member, whatever you want to call it), and I wasn't aware of anything going on. No texts, emails or correspondence of any kind. Any wire members on here that were a) aware of it happening b) contacted about it, or c) actually took part?

Not heard a dickie bird. Wasn't there also a project supposedly involving the players contacting the loyal fans in player/fan bonding chat experiences. That seems to have stumbled too....perhaps the club phone bill hasn't been paid.

It will be interesting how many sports fans are totally lost,in all sports ,after this catastrophe.

I heard about the club contacting people, i know only one person who received a call from the club; that was right in the midst of lockdown.
I think the communication from the club has been quite poor since the collapse of the season; we've just sort of been left in limbo. I understand that they can't clarify anything until the resumption of the season, but i'm sure they have contingency plans for all eventualities regarding season tickets if the season was abandoned, limited capacities, behind closed doors etc.
Wouldn't hurt the club to share that with the fans who've paid money for tickets, and are currently, not getting anything for it.

Might be due to the fact that almost all employees are furloughed: in that situation you cannot do anything that could be construed as work, which would include calling fans/season ticket holders.

True, but would posting on social media be classed as work though? All the posts relating to world cup of kits etc has been done throughout lockdown.

Yes it would. There must be a skeleton staff working on things like social media bu they won't have the time to contact individual fans.

The fans forum is a group of fans who normally get together a few times a year by invitation from the club. This time it was a zoom meeting with invites as usual. If you didn't get an invite that is because you don't normally go and so are not on their list to invite.
Someone usually puts the info regarding what was said at the meeting on here afterwards.
