Castleford Tigers 2011 : Sun Dec 12, 2010 7:37 am
Time for the second team to be previewed for 2011. Got much better in my opinion. Got leadership in Danny Orr and a good dressing room influence in Richie Mathers.

Adam Milner, Hooker

Billy Harris, Second Row

Brett Ferres - Second Row

Craig Huby - Prop

Danny Orr - Scrum Half/Hooker

Dean Widders - Second Row

Jake Emmitt - Prop

Joe Arundel - Centre

John Davies - Second Row/Loose Forward

Jonathan Walker - Prop

Jordan Thompson - Utility Back

Kirk Dixon - Wing

Martin Aspinwall - Wing/Centre/Full back

Nathan Massey - Prop

Nick Fozzard - Prop

Nick Youngquest - Wing/Full Back

Oliver Holmes - Second Row

Paul Jackson - Prop

Rangi Chase - Stand Off/Scrum Half

Richard Mathers - Full Back

Richard Owen - Wing/Full Back

Ryan Hudson - Hooker

Ryan McGoldrick - Utility Back

Steve Snitch - Second Row

Daryl Clark - Hooker

Might as well take Fozzard out of that team. He is like a student for the medical team. He won't play more than 10 games this season.

Yeah me too. Must go back to the Classy Cas days.

How will they go? May sneak the playoffs but still too much reliance on Rangi Chase I feel. Also feel that the backline is a little weak. Just hope that Richie Mathers goes well for them.

I can see 2011 being a long hard season for Cas and only a good cup run as relief.

Lost both centres and their Loose Forward. They seem to be putting everything into the campaign for a new stadium. Can see Cas being in the bottom three next season.

If i was a Cas fan the depth of the squad would be my concern..They can put a decent 13 on the pitch but if they rack up a few injuries and suspensions i feel they may drop right off..
Also i still don't think the Cas fans are really behind Matterson...

They won't make the 8 IMO....Shame because like some of the other posters i quite like Cas from their days of being the top Yorkshire club..

Done well to hang onto to Owen and Chase imo, espicially with the likes of Shenton and Westerman leaving. Cas will blow hot and cold I think, a low will also depend on which Richie Mathers and Nick Fozzard show up on the field! Youngquest is a good player for the future, been good at Crusaders and was it Gateshead?

I think richie mathers will do well at cas. He has had expeience in the big games and hopefully can pass that on to the younger members of the team.

I wish him luck for the future
