Wire are absolutely tone deaf sometimes. Lost 5 on the bounce and now they think it's a good time to ask members if they fancy paying £40 extra per match to watch us in the "40/20" lounge. I imagine the uptake on this is going to be extremely low.

I think they have heard the message all right. These things have to continue. Do you want them to stop playing music, selling pies or beer? Just the sort of time to stand up and support the club.
It is not compulsory.

I get what you're saying, but surely it's better for the club to wait until we've at least won a game to try and convince fans into into it. Serving up the quality of rugby that we've been subjected to recently and then offering us the chance to pay more to see it just leaves a bit of a sour taste in my opinion.
I certainly wont be stopping attending games, buying beer or food when in the stadium; I just think the timing of that email could've been a lot better.

The marketing and hospitality team aren't the ones that are dropping balls and missing tackles.

Do you want every department of the club to stop running until we win a game?

No stewards, no turnstile folk...

Exactly ... the show must go on and you have to advertise as normal.

No obviously not, as they're a necessity for the games to take place at home
Maybe everyone disagrees, which is fine, everyone is entitled to their own opinions. Personally, I think that it's the wrong time to be sending that kind of email out to fans, particularly as the club themselves are admitting that results and performances are disappointing. From a marketing perspective, you ride the crest of a wave (Whizzy Rascal on Sky) and capitalise on it. Riding a wave, we are certainly not right now. Although, I for one, am certainly hoping that a week off now will change that.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

Sack cloth and ashes is the correct response, with a day in the stocks for every player until we win a match

Neither glass half full or empty. Just a realist.

Can you close the curtains in the 40/20 lounge? Might be worth the £40.

Why is there a picture of table tennis equipment at the top of the page?
