They don't do it for charity... or shets and giggles. They do it for the cold stuff and I think they get more than enough back for it to be worth it.
No pooh, Sherlock
BUT WHERE WOULD OUR SPORT BE WITHOUT SKY'S MONEY.....................BANKRUPT WRLFC were surviving on average gates of 4500 before Sky came in with their cash. Before their money, we've barely had an overseas starlet since Les Boyd SKY GET THE SQUARE ROOT OF BUGGER ALL BACK FROM RUGBY LEAGE FAN'S MONEY, WE'RE JUST THERE TO FILL UP LISTINGS TIME, LIKEWISE PREMIER LEAGUE DARTS, SNOOKER, RACING, TENNIS, GOLF etc. The majority of Sky subscribers are there for the football. We are very lucky to have Sky's money.
Ask yourself a question? If Sky hadn't have come in with the money, do you think the HJ would exist.....?

So far how would Sky have to go for you to criticise them?
Me: I'm still reeling from the news that someone is considering watching the 1st and 3rd game on Saturday and NOT watching Warrington play. It's like being in Shea Stadium when the Beatles came to town and deciding to nip out for a fag.
knockersbumpMKII: Is it FOOK, you're good but you're not THAT good, jesus you wanky fans need to get over yourselves, Beatles at the Shea in '65 was a once in a lifetime opportunity for some (despite the following years performance), you can watch a very good team in primrose & yellow play every week if you really wanted to but comparing it to one of the very best music groups of all time in an iconic stadia such as the shea is overegging your importance, you're not even the best team in SL atm
I'm guessing not as far as moving a game that was scheduled for mid evening on a saturday to early evening on the same day.
That doesn't bother me.
It is when they change the day completely like they did last year with the Saints match. Makes a mockery of the whole point of the last game of the season.
My problem was, you can't excuse the stupid things sky does by just saying they gave us so much. They aren't doing it for charity.
I will clap them when they do something right and i will call them out when they are wrong. As is they way with any business. For example, the new opening to Super League on Sky is dire. However, Phil Clarke doesn't seem as Wigan centred as usual.
I am merely playing devil's advocate. The excuse that sky give us money is no excuse. It is a pretty weak argument.
how so? i feel that you just enjoy an argument JD, our game would not be as advances as it is without SKY, and therefore if they want to change the time of a game by half a flamin hour they can do!

forget the bit on bold. I don't care that they have changed it by half an hour.
This isn't an argument and I'm not going to argue cause I don't really have an opinion on it. I have bigger grievances with the execution of rugby (although they are with the RFL)
My point was, and you will see in my first post, that just cause they give us the money that they do (which isn't earth shattering) it isn't an excuse for them to take the place of the RFL, which they seemed to be doing at times last year.
