I thought Gidley was MOM to be honest. Hilly is club captain, but if you ignore the play and just watch Gidley, he is pulling absolutely all the strings. He calls the plays, he sets the players, he is the dynamo close to the line, his tackling is absolutely top class and his kicking is brilliant. Yes, I am a really big fan of Jullien. I am going to start wearing onions around my neck and holidaying in Carcassonne. I will probably buy the Allo, Allo box set as well. He had only been on the pitch for 5 minutes when some poor sod ran at him with the ball and just stopped dead (I saw this a couple of weeks ago as well). How does that happen ? The laws of physics must surely mean that the attacker is going to gain another two yards or so because of his momentum. But no, they just stop dead as though they have hit a brick wall. He did cock up a kick off by Wigan, and yes his play with ball in hand has some way to develop, but he just adds so much to the team because of his defence and versatility .
