Firstly, well done Wigan (spits). The best side won.
Our "pack" are too lightweight. Bar Hill, did we gain ANY metres through leg drive. Wigan MULLERED us, in this department. We're powderpuff, in comparison.
Some dumb decisions. Iirc, didn't Atkins have his winger unmarked, when he went "over". Glory boy.
We've lost 4 of our last 9 games. Not good.
.......and, most controversially, MY GOD, WE'RE DULL.
Smith has coached EVERY BIT of attractive rugby, OUT of this side. From 2010 to 2013, we've played some of the most exhilarating RL, I've ever seen. Since then, he's wrung all creativity out us, to the point that I'm bored to tears.
All we had in the first half, was endless scoots from dummy half. TEDIUM.
The second half (bar a couple of tackles) was like watching a fish finger defrost.
Yes, Smith has been our best coach since Murphy left, by a country mile, but if he resigned tonight, I wouldn't bat an eyelid. As someone said as I was leaving, we play joyless rugby. I couldn't agree more.
I go to the match to be entertained. This is the rl equivalent of 80's Italian football, dull, but (more often than not) effective.
I can't disagree with any of that, and I know a few of us have said we need to play finals football i.e. Not to much gung Ho stuff.. But Christ that was another level of dire tonight ,we barely got the ball wide at all in the first half. It was slightly better in the second when Sandow came on. Which brings me to my next point if Sandow was fit and Smith wanted him involved he should have started ... The fact that he occupied the bench taking the place of another forward screwed us to the floor we were seriously outgunned in the pack ...
I honestly feel a coach change would be be beneficial. To us
