I can't help thinking if Gidley has to approach the ref that the game will stop while a make up artist flounces on to work on the ref.

Didn't Gidley do it last season? I remember when sky played it back thinking that he has the makings of a coach the way he was giving out information and marshalling the troops. Almost an extension of Smith on the pitch. I think it will work well as long as it isn't a hindrance.

He's had a mic on him I believe, but tonight is first time a rugby player has worn a camera in a professional match.
