Anyone want to help chip in for Steve Price's return flight?

I didn't see the game but I'm sure someone who did can confirm the following:
- Props hardly ran onto the ball
- We had 1 dummy runner maximum but mostly had 0 when attacking
- We passed across the line with no pace
- Mata'utia knocked on at least once

I knew this would happen. Just remember his 3 years of gutless semi final exits before you bring him back.

On this occasion we simply HAVE to back the coach. A message needs sending out about the type of players we want at this club.

I'll back Powell 100% over this shower of sh*t any day of the week. The alternative that we have the players rule the club is unthinkable.

It's crisis time. The club executive need to issue a statement backing Powell.

Size I've no idea or whether they were more effective which is more important. It sounded like Philbin and bullock at least were playing alright, I've mentioned elsewhere I don't think the pack is the main problem Atm.

Your reply doesn't even make sense BTW, talking nonesense indeed.

you have no idea but it sound like hahah . You didn’t go then ? Im on my Back and can honestly say you need to look further than changing the captain/scapegoat. mickey poor from 1-17 not just certain players all of them

It's a case of both. They arent playing for Powell and they are also pretty average.

Probably the possible explanations are quite accurate and a contributing factor to why the players are not good enough. But don't think this is something new under Powell. We've seen these performance regularly in Smith's last few seasons prices entire time as coach, and now under Powell, surely that's not a coincidence?

I'm with you on the need to move on from SP, but a gutless semi final exit in 2022 I'd take that here and now. Before 2022 started, my expectations were to be in a better place with DP come August, and hopefully be in a position where the playoffs were not completely out of reach. We were not on an easy path, but currently there's a feeling of freefall, even though this season was always going to hit some turbulence. Here's to some light at the end of this particular tunnel.

How can you separate the coach from the team? They are all in it together…..

Powell’s been here 5 minutes…
I wonder if there was something in the statement that Lineham made before the Wakefield game - poor morale in the camp - i wonder if the majority know that there’s about to be a major shake-up and they’re gonna be plying their trade with Lineham and Mamo in Yorkshire or Leigh before too long.
Bring it on. I’d rather us spend a year or two without challenging (no different from the last 5 years) and give some game time to the kids, and get this mediocre set of coasters out of my club.

Changing 1-17 isn't an option though is it? I'm not saying Hughes/ the captain is the main problem but whilst wholesale changes aren't possible making changes that will have some impact and resonate with the playing staff ARE possible. Such as for example changing the captain or removing a stong influence from the changing room. I'm not inside the club so I don't know exactly what that change could be, Powell says he is here to change the culture, well the nice approach isn't working unfortunately so it looks like something has to change.

I'll tell you what you're right you know, lets change everyone 1-17 (not possible) but keep the same captain who can be captain from the stands!

Honestly I don't know why I'm bothering replying to you, I'm out.

I believed at the start of the season that things would get worse before they get better. Powell came into a club with leadership, performance and cultural problems. What we are seeing is the turbulence as he attempts to resolve them. I've felt for a good few years that there is a toxic influence in the changing room and until that is addressed we can never kick on. My suspicions would be on those players who have let down Smith, Price and Powell.
