OK - back on subject.
My worry with an Ozzie coach coming in is they would expect to be joining a professional organization - with many here saying we're anything but.
I can't believe they'd know of the full extent of the 'alleged' issues inside the club - be that player power, boardroom issues or whatever.
Possibly the one who would have a better inkling would be Holbrooke - both from being here, and being very good friends with SP.
I really believe that most of the names mentioned wouldn't/couldn't succeed because as well as being a good coach they'd have to have the political nouse to navigate through all the other crap.
Tony Smith would have a very good insight based on experience and he VERY quickly sorted out the issues when he arrived, and that was over a decade ago. That ship has sailed.
Paul Rowley? No way would he want to come. Why should he? And I doubt he's had the range of off field issues to deal with.
Shaun Wane? - I think he would be mad to take the job. And even though he's been successful with Wigan, there are competent personnel around him. As an aside though I also hate the way he coaches the game.
I could go on, but it wouldn't do any good.
Simply no f***in idea who would be the right man (or lady, L,G,B,T,Q,A,I+) for the job.
I think I've covered all the bases....
