Wouldn`t be surprised if the Pies field a weakened team against us on Friday.
How much weaker can it get? If you take Field and French out they are worse than Leeds. There is no one in their team worth resting other than those two.

While St Helens are quite rightly the favourite to win the Challenge Cup Semi Final game versus Wigan, it is a one off game, and in cup ties, form/class doesn`t always guarantee a victory.
I would be more magnanimous in your posts, they could bite you, if you lose that game.

Exactly. Upsets happen.

Open field, I'd be confident of him chasing him down. I was very disappointed with escare giving up so easily. He's pretty pacey
I think Wrench has got similar footwork to Field, thinking back to him putting Ashton away against Leeds. He’s actually very quick, certainly over the first 30 metres.

I agree in a straight foot race, but the thing with Field and French that Ashton might want to look at (don't recall this in his armoury), but that's pace with movement.
I'm not at all bagging the lad, I really like him in the team, but I was convinced that Ashton could have gone for the corner first half but cut inside, when we scored off the back of the pen. Field seems to stand the defender up creates the gap before hitting the gas,. French for a couple of weeks running, has had the defender in his sights back peddling in every direction I was dizzy just watching.
Although I concede that doing it on the wing with only the touchline for company might make a difference.

Agreed, its that pace off the mark that is so important in rugby league, and the ability to change direction without dropping speed. Be interesting to see who would win a foot race over 100m, my money would be on French & Field over 30m though.
Wrench looked very quick going for the corner on Saturday.
