I think you need to read Items 2 & 3 of the A.U.P.

2.2. Public criticism of the moderation process is prohibited.
* Any member who has a question about the decision of a moderator should ask them via the Private Message system.
* If you are dissatisfied with their response then you should contact the Admin Team as detailed below.


3. Advertising and Promotion

3.1. Messages intended to advertise or promote external organizations and sites without prior approval of the Admin Team are prohibited.
* Official club advertising is allowable with permission of the relevant forum moderators.
* Advertising is permitted within your signature where it does not breach this policy.
* Links to other rugby league sites may also be promoted on the League Links Central message board.
* Private sellers may also advertise rugby league related products for sale on the League Marketplace message board.

Thing is, here, what actually did happen to Rob_Wire's thread?

I feel like Jeremy Paxman when questioning Michael Howard.

All I want to know is - where did it go, and why? If someone broke the all-hallowed AUP, then fine, just please let us know when threads are deleted.

I think I'm cracking up at the best of times....

Ok to put it simply, the thread was deleted because the Admins (Owners of the site) have asked the mods to delete posts which advertise the BBC as they do not pay for advertising.

If you look down the right hand side of the page there are a number of advertisers one of which is real radio who pay to advertise with a banner and also allows them to advertsie their shows in topics.

If the BBC are constantly allowed to advertise free of charge then Real Radio might as well and all the other advertisers and then the site would close because the advertisers help to pay the bills associated with running the site.

As for the Moderators, I chose them. I am a moderator because I took the site over when Neil who did a sterling job packed in though I have more than realised why he did.

As we have said many times before, stay within the AUP and you won't ever have a problem with the mods please don't argue or question there judgement or that will get you banned as well.

The mods do a job that is required to make sure that the site is first of all within the law and a reasonable place to discuss the wolves though I sometimes wonder how that was ever possible.

We don't need to tell you when a thread is deleted, we delete them because we have reason to it's as simple as that.

All this would end up with is the site being full of thread deleted topics.
