Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

I'd still rather we made a play for Kyle Amor than go for an NRL prop.

If that’s the level of signing that would lift our pack then we were lucky we finished as high in the league as we did. He is not first choice prop material...or shouldn’t be.

And I think that right there is his biggest issue right now. A lack of aggression, which is obviously never going to go down well at Wigan.

That's a new thread right there...

Tried and tested, solid and consistant, plays good minutes. Yeah he'd be terrible
He's a good Prop and you know what your getting with him, but you'd be more happy with an NRL prop who we have no idea whether he'll do well or not. Yeah i'm still saying Kyle Amor would be a better option.

I'm totally with this. No one is saying Amor will displace Cooper or Hill but I'd much rather see him coming onto the field after 20 mins than Akoula or J Clark.

Re: Rumours 2 : Thu Nov 14, 2019 11:24 pm
Being more effective than Akualoa and J Clark doesn't mean he's the answer though does it? Or we might as well wheel out Anthony England. We need a pack leader and/or mongrel. Tetevano wouldve been ideal but it's not to be and if we can't get Shannon Boyd then I'll struggle to name anyone we could possibly get who we really need. Amor to fill a gap whilst we wait (like Liverpool with VVD) for someone to become available wouldnt be a bad signing.

I can't help thinking our upcoming season would benefit more from finding a formula whereby our players can pass & catch the ball effectively without entering self destruct mode nearly every match by way of unforced errors & penalties for indiscipline. I think for the coaches to actually coach & provide winning game plans would be more effective than hiring players who may or may not want to be here & as such will just go through the motions.

Show me where I said he would be terrible? For most of last season he couldn’t get on the bench for Saints and was poor the season before ( is that the sort of consistency you mean?). We need a player who will make a difference, whether he comes from Australia, Yorkshire or wherever is irrelevant. Amor will not make a difference.

Thing is, Amor has. Matty Lees was preferred but Lees at that time simply wasn't big enough imo.
I think Amor would have made things much closer in big games.
