No, no issues with the refereeing. We just tied ourselves in knots trying to resolve the Lomax issue and the disruption cost us first half. Once Woolf got them in we were always going to come back at them and we did very successfully and it was very one sided second half. But then we threw a stupid pass and blew it. These things happen. Credit to Wigan for being clinical and taking the chances we gave them. Still plenty of hope for this season if we can come up with a solution in the halves. I'd play Bell and Moss myself if Lomax isn't going to be fit, but I suspect we'll try to keep him in there. Having Grace and Hopoate back would help as well.
One sided? It was even stevens for the first 7 minutes until Marshall gifted you an opportunity to get back in the game. You then had a golden 10 minute spell and took the lead with 20 minutes still to go. It took us half that to regain the lead after which there was only one winner. In fact, a Johnny Lomax shirt grab on Field and a dropped ball from Bibby off the Farrell break were the only things that stopped us making it a more comfortable win! That's before we even get to the 4 points that went begging from missed kicks.
Congratulations on your excellent 10 minute spell. But let's face it; no matter how well you manage to convince yourself that the 2nd half was one sided it will never be more one sided than the 1st! Well done on your cup final appearance....oh! Wait a minute...
