But Drinkwater was already out of Catalans plans well before we signed him. We were desperate for a scrum half and he was available . Powell described him as having all the attributes we wanted in a scrum half (everyone assumed he meant he was a very good player). The signs were there, we ignored them. Which is why I think of the 3 he was the worst signing (not the worst player though, Mr Dudson take a bow).*
*this is only in relation to Catalans ex players.
