There wasn't a problem with either yellow card. I thought Moore gave some pretty soft high tackles against Catalans but seemed less interested in anything the other way.

Still, it would be hard to argue Catalans were hard done to. They had no attacking play (like last week tbf)

Old Trafford is a dangerous setting for rugby league and it shouldn't really be played there without serious safety precautions around the field. Moreover, the tiny pitch and laughable in goal areas make grubber kicks a no-go and there's no real way to force a repeat set close to the line. It makes for a dull game and tonight's was one.

Pretty much spot on, I’m just surprised there as never been a serious accident with the small in goal areas. Can’t remember if it’s 1 or 2 years that it’s up for renewal. Needs to move away from Old Trafford.

What about the standard of this final?! We would of been 12 up against either of these pretending chumps.

Games should not be played there. In this safety conscious age the RFL is reckless. We were close to a serious injury at the game today ... Tom Johnstone.

This. I've posted after previous GF's that the playing area is too small at OT, and it has it's own unique player safety issues. However, the RFL make cash out of the GF being played there, and won't move any time soon. Another very dull final. Congrats to Wigan, they were the better team on the day.

They'd certainly benefit from putting pads on the hoardings either end of the pitch

You can put all sorts of padding etc available to solve the problem. You might have to re-imburse one or two advertisers. Has to be done. It is like waiting for a serious accident to happen.

It’s usually the case with this country, something bad has to happen then we have all sorts of enquiries how to avoid it next time.

Didn't the powers that be build the slopes up with straw bales for an Australia/ NZ game a few years ago. It is a potentially very dangerous situation to put players in.
