True, but then Widdop and Austin had clearly already retired too when they pulled on the Wire jersey. Hopefully we're past that sort of risky signing.

To be fair (not always easy when Saints are involved) but it was the Sky commentary team rather than the club that was bigging this lad up.

On limited viewing he's made a mistake or two not unusual for a youngster particularly at FB BUT he's got a bit of something about him elusive running, an eye for a gap and he's not feared of ewt.

Hes 26 and played 17 NRL games, very elusive runner but very far from a world beater. Not as good as Dufty IMO.
