I think it was obvious with the backroom staff changes in the off season that we were preparing for this.

Bringing in Nigel Wright was the obvious link to the Wakefield connection for those smart enough to notice. I only hope that the time out of the game has given Tony some time to refresh his coaching ideas so he can come back stronger this time, I don't think Wakey gave him enough time before.

These 'forced' partnerships never work. Do you remember the following;

Roy Evans & Gerrard Houllier

John Dorahy & Alex Murphy.

I think things will get worse before they get better. I think Jimmy will end up walking with Smith taking over the reins completely.

Also where does it leave Nigel Wright?
