Well that was a tough day out, a win would have been more than a bit handy if not quite deserved. The Speculator came out top this week with ten well earned points. For the rest of us, we'll just have to do better on the accumulation front with a big win against Saints next time out.

Well it was a case of us meeting our final curtain on a soggy day in Saint Helens is there any finer way to spend your Saturday. Hull KR apparently release monthly averages rather than specific attendances so I've N/A'd it and sent a letter to HM Collector of Green Shield Stamps

Well now we know three things

1. The Grand Final will be a Wigan v Catalans clash which is probably a fair reflection of the regular season.
2. As a collective you have to question our general RL knowledge with these scores
3. You can find most things on t'internet if you look hard enough thanks BWW for the Catalans/Saints crowd

Well done CW8 and our Walter for being 'kings of the hillock, top of a very small heaps'.

Well that's all folks, probably the right result and disappointingly from a Wire perspective, the right teams at Old Trafford so the wait goes on..

Our Grand Final winner was CW8 with 36 points thanks in no small part to Marshall being the first and last try scorer. This fantastic haul proved to be decisive, giving them a well deserved Prediction Competition Title for 2023 and the standard fortnight in Barbados first prize, overtaking the long term leader Builth Wells Wire with a final roll of the prediction 'dice', commiserations BWW.

Well played all better luck next year. .

Wow, I knew I had a good day but I assumed others would have too. Many thanks for running it again Uncle Rico it does add (more) excitement to the superleague competiton.

Winning this means a lot more to me than it probably should. Commiserations to BWW for my huge chunk of luck in the last 2 rounds.

Will you be calling me from your offshore telephone for my passport and account details so I can book the Barbados trip?

As I bid farewell to my title, let me pass on my congratulations to CW8, who timed his/her (mustn't presume) winning run to perfection, in a way we can only dream that Wire will one day emulate. And huge thanks to Uncle Rico for all the hours spent adjudicating the competition, which provides a welcome bit of fun throughout the season. Roll on 2024, and the joys of trying to predict how the Sam Burgess era Wire will perform!
