Did we ever get to the bottom of the ‘wow’ signing? Or did we lose out on whoever it was? Maybe with Saints’ money woes they need Simon or Stuart to take Welsby off their hands. I know McManus said they’ll still be spending the cap, but that could also be interpreted as not spending over it with the marquee salaries.

And before RobRiches has an aneurism, yes I’m just jesting on the Welsby idea… well I’m half-jesting. But seriously, send Simon’s accountant over. This Oasis reunion could buy us Nathan Cleary.

I see Canberra hooker Zac Woolford has signed for Huddersfield for 2025. Perhaps gives more credence to the 'Danny Walker to Canberra' rumour?

Yes, it looks odd on that we will be losing Danny at the end of the season.

It will be interesting to see who we recruit to replace him.
