And so you aim towards the sky,
And you'll rise high today,
Fly away, Far away,
Far from pain....

We are on a downward trajectory in terms of performances and results. If you can’t see that then I don’t know what to say.

Are we??... I suppose it depends how you want to portray it?

We've won 3 from our last 5, that's not too shabby... won 11 of our last 15, that's not too bad either.

Performances have been pretty consistent to be honest, in that we haven't produced a full 80 minute display all season, so to say there is a downward trajectory there is probably an exaggeration, the only difference now is that sides are more clued up on how to deal with us - Stick with us and stay competitive and you will likely get a good 20 or 30 minute spell where, if you take your chances, then you will damage us on the scoreboard.

We are basically no different to all the other sides in the league, in that we are totally unpredictable. We just happened to get off to an unexpected flyer and that's ramped up expectations to unrealistic levels.

I don't think you'll find many Warrington fans, or posters on this board that disagree with your sentiment of wanting action from the club. But playing devils advocate, who do you think is available half way through the season (not under contract), and of the quality required, that you think the club should be 'pulling there fingers out' to sign ?

On the whole I take your point and agree with you that top-drawer signings at this stage of the season seem unrealistic. However, less flashy deals can still be done, to bolster the squad. For example, Leigh managed to sign Frankie Halton from Hull KR a few weeks ago. I'm not saying Halton is a world-beater, obviously, and the fact that he's a Leigh lad was a big factor in that move, but he's a good, solid player and a genuine second row, who would have given us decent cover in that position.

I completely agree with this ... The number of times that both the club and the fans get sucked into the need for the "superstar" signing when in fact we have got the best value from the lesser known arrival... Right now the club needs to sign workers and not names

The hard fact is that most if not all imports are here for another two years pay. Even the Wigan starlets can't get gigs over in Oz but they still look like superstars compared to some of our donkeys.
The league is in need off a monumental injection of money to enable youth systems to bring talent through from schools being encouraged to play rugby. Instead ,we have a stagnating pool of recycled older players who can't go on forever.
A pipe dream ,i know, when even Union with its blue chip sponsors isn't all rosy in the garden. Massive investment & government encouragement is needed for RL to survive.

plenty on here denounced his signing, and said he wasn't good enough.

I've said it myself on here before, the board/club are on a hiding to nothing on recruitment and with fans hindsight.

I wasn't one of his deriders and there's better English options than jack Hughes but it doesn't excuse the over reliance on overseas players who are off the first sign of boredom with grey clouds and it's that policy that we actually need the foresight to review
