McGuire may as well have appealed it if he’s adamant he didn’t say it. Even if he fails and gets a couple of games on top it’s not really going to make a difference to this season Maybe he / the club are already planning his future and there was little point wasting time with an appeal.
Sad that it’s worked out this way, as I hear he’s very good behind the scenes and has a good coaching brain on him.
The sooner we put this saga behind us the better, and it will free up some money to bring Sam Burgess, Ben Barba and John Hopoate out of retirement. With us being on a roll ‘n’ all…
