Really sad news. I never really corresponded on here with him but enjoyed reading his posts - even this loose connection made me feel sick when I read the thread so I dread to think how those who knew him use feel.
I hope these messages give some crumb of comfort to his family and friends.

i have never met yed but we have had plenty of light hearted banter over the years,so much so that his comments were in my signature for over 5 years,as a mark of respect i have deleted it
How tragic and very sad to hear this news. I didn't know the guy but enjoyed reading his posts and the exchange of banter. From a Leeds fan to a Wire fan RIP fella and enjoy the game on Saturday.
Just found out having read the sticky post on the boards. Very sad to hear, was a bit of a character over the years on the Wigan board with his 'healthy' debates ( ), however he would also come on the forum and have a good old chat. I liked him. RIP Wire Yed (Steve).
