Monaghan has some steel though. I recall him calling out our defense as "miles off" under Cullen in am article in the WG.

Holbrook - no thanks, did literally nothing back in the NRL.
Smith - Fantasy signing as he's at Hull and has no reason to leave.
Rohan - Fantasy signing as he's at Leeds and has no reason to leave.
Briers - I'm not sure he would be the right guy yet.
Danny Ward is plausible, good no nonsense coach who is available.
Hopefully Chambers will take charge properly and drop under performers and give the kids a chance.
Drop Dudson and Kasiano and give Green and thomas more game time, drop Mata'utia and give Wrench the centre position if that's where his future lies, put Holroyd at 2nd row and move Nicholson to 13 now.

If you’re looking at Briers, you need a Director of Rugby. I’ve said before my ideal would be to couple Briers and Smith together. Granted, that’s not happening.

I wonder how stable Trent Robinson’s job is. They have been hit and miss for a while now. Got the right CV, knows the league well.

Trent Robinson would be a lot better than Justin Holbrook. Ain't gonna happen though. Who is Penrith assistant coach? Or NZ Warriors?

Can someone with a bit more NRL knowledge tell me if Mona's is a viable nay sensible choice? I love the romance of it but I'd rather a competent guy than an ex player.

Whoever it is, if they talk mata'utia in to signing a new contract I'm straight in the coach out camp again.
