If so, he could get off the overseas quota. Although given the record of Australians finding it difficult to settle in the UK I wonder if it would even be worth applying, a year of paying extortionate fees and being messed about by the Home Office's "hostile environment" and he'd be telling us he'd had enough and wanted to go back to the NRL.

Austin is an excellent replacement for Roberts and another player Leeds were heavily linked with just like Greenwood who went to Wigan.
One of the better halfbacks imo to come out of the NRL who i wish was coming to Leeds.

Very wary of highlights now, after getting excited about what Roberts could and should have been doing every week...

However, from those clips it looks like Austin would be a replacement for Brown - he’s got the step and the support play but there’s no clips showing his ability to create much for others. To be fair to Roberts, he does have a good all-round game even if we don’t see much of him attacking the line. His kicking and vision are superb.

I still think we need another classic half back even if we sign Austin.
