No wonder it’s so late appearing today lots cited and did anyone hear the thunder coming from Salford. Rowley will be in meltdown 3 players banned
It's beyond a joke now. It's like the MRP are on a commission for everything they find to charge someone for. Super League is bad enough as a product now without those lot spending their weekend forensically searching for things to ban players for. Some of the statistical anomolies from it are bizarre as well. Salford just got four bans from one game, Huddersfield have had one ban all season. (Despite 7 cards for foul play)
What should happen is the referee and both teams put a report in. The ref reports on the incidents he punished, ie cards and can note any he was unsure on can be looked at. Outside of that, the MRP should only be able to bring something up if it's serious and grade D upwards. They're banning players for anything that could be considered a penalty and there is a huge difference between what the MRP believe to be the correct punishment and what the referees do.
The MRP are effectively saying that there should have been four red cards for Salford against Wigan. Utterly bizarre stuff. No ref in the world would send any of them off, so why is it a ban?
