I just can't work out why some "support" rugby league and Wire in particular. Great sport and a good team at the moment ... so why be a moany moany. Happy Days! Enjoy it while you can.
Because it's called having independant thought.
Some people see everything Wire do as brilliant. It doesn't matter if we didn't quite get over the mark, we tried really hard. They applaud everything the club announces without question and urges everyone to do the same, as that's what being a true supporter does. They don't get upset about loosing or players doing stupid stuff in a game; because as long as everyone is positive, sings for the players, creates a positive/friendly atmosphere on a Sunday afternoon before going home to finish the wordsearch with a bovril (not too late though, dont want to be getting up in the night). Then Rugby league is the winner and thats all that matters.
Where as people who aren't out of touch reality assess the game, the players, the announcements, game/club news for themselves and create an opinion based of what they have seen, heard or read. I don't hype up everything the club does, because there are things to be pee'd off about! Fair enough, the positives this year outweigh the negatives, but only just. SP has took control of the club and brough belief back to the fans. He's adressed the holes in our squad, he's signed players that would never have signed if we still had TS at the helm. But from what I've seen, read & heard about Mamo... I'm not about to laugh and throw pennies about a bang average utility player when Drinkwater is available and we haven't signed him instead. Christ, We could've signed Matty Smith, everyone knew he wanted out of Saints, anything would be an improvement on Brown.

It's not moaning, It's frustration.
No, it isn’t called that, because that implies anyone with a different view is not capable of independent thought. People have different views. Once you have been on here a while it soon becomes clear what a particular poster’s start point will be. I, for example, do not expect perfection others may see that as accepting failure. I don’t suppose I will change their minds about that whatever I say.

Wrap it up as you like. But moaners tend not to be listened to after a while. Oh it's old moany moany again. He's not a happy man ... I'll give him a wide berth.
I never said I didn't like the lad. I think he's a very good attacking threat. However, even the posiive comments all seem to have the same things also said about him... Shakey under a high ball, Injury Prone, Error ridden etc, etc, etc.
Hes an ok squad player to fill in a couple of times if we're desperate but thats about it. He's not a major coup, if he was it would be all over the usual social media platforms that clubs are dying to land him. They haven't though have they? he's ended up with us on a free.
I hope he comes in and smashes it and becomes man of steel but until then he's just another back-up utility player and though I hope he doesn't, as he has bags of potential to smash SL, but I expect him to be filed under 'Not a bad lad, gave us his all and really tried. Just a shame theres better options in front of him'
Along with Kev Penny, Lee Mitchell, Gary Wheeler, Jordan Cox, Sam Wilde, Rhys Williams, Rhys Evans, Ben Evans, James Laithwaite, Mitch Brown, Matty Blythe, Ryan Bailey, Matty Russell (excelled and trying and failing), Gene Ormsby, Antony England, George King etc...
This. I posted earlier that he's a yes from me as he will be good cover for Wing/Fullback. He's highly unlikely be playing at centre as King/Goodwin/Atkins/Currie have it covered for me. Yes, there are other positions that needed more immediate attention for me, but Mamo does improve the squad. We cant have everything in life.
We have other more pressing needs for sure, but that doesn't mean that we can't/shouldn't strengthen in any area when decent players become available - our squad is stronger now with Mamo in than without.
Plus, Mamo is not our only signing, we can, and have made other signings. Signing Mamo does not mean we've stopped looking at forwards or halfbacks or any other position.
The recruitment market is tough these days, not a lot of quality around. It has been like this since the NRL salary cap rose. TS got criticised for the players he brought in in the last few years but now Price is shopping in that same market.
Mamo and Austin aren't perfect but at least they seem to be the type who will bring something different to what is currently a one-paced side.

I agree Sally that we've lacked pace to rival such as Davis Makinson Manfredi Grace etc
