Mickey Higham, yes I think a great player. One im very sad that wigan let go. However dont think Wire are using him correctly. He isnt an 80 minute player. He played 80 only once for wigan(we lost) He needs to be interchanged or he will tire and therefore made mistakes in attack and defence as was clear tonight.
Is Jon Clarke injured???
I know alot of Wire fans dont rate him but still Higham needs to be interchanged.
1, Lack of match fitness, this cannot be blamed on only playing 1 friendly.
2, Defense, in general is poor but Goal line defense is an absolute disgrace.
3, Our inability to kill of a game.
We had 14 points lead last week and conceded 26 points without reply, we had 12 points lead this week and conceded 32 points near enough without reply.
The likes of Saints and Leeds seem to be able to manage their way through games. They don't often play at 100% for 80 minutes, but have the control to stay in touch for long periods, then go up a gear when the opposition gives them a chance. Warrington's game plan seems too simple, just flat out 80 mins, when the pack get tired chasing shanked kicks the opposition have 20-30 mins to play however they like. I think it's weird that players would try for 50 mins then just give up when they're still in the lead, surely there must be something more to it than that?
To me that suggests either lack of fitness (and last week King looked shattered with his hands on his head ten minutes from the end), or lack of belief that they can win a game.
Our world class coach (as picked by experienced business men) believes the best way for our team to play is like the Bradford that won the super league a number of years ago.
Who are we to say he is wrong? Surely it worked then should work now? The battle of Cannae is still studied and was used by the likes of Napoleon and Rommel.

That blueprints author is now at wigan and its working a treat nowadays too, just like when it was tried at GB level by him too.
