Yes Steve, that’s why it IS a failure. Because the team you beat in ninth place at the Magic weekend has now finished two spots above you, you have dropped like a stone with p155 poor form. Who do we blame for that?

He also says he thinks we had a team to progress deep into the playoffs, so it’s gut wrenchingly disappointing.

So, we need to ask WHY that hasn’t been the case. Why did the wheels fall off? Don’t dare blame the loss of Austin because defences were smartening up to him before he was injured, he was going missing for sections of games, so that ain’t your excuse.

Poor recruitment
No attack
Boring style of rugby
Blind faith in players who aren't good enough

Shame Fitzpatrick won't have the balls to do it though and the two of them plus Mike Lomax will all be in the Bluebell on Saturday getting smashed.

We’ve got progressively worse since April this year and it’s no surprise the crowd was less then five and half thousand tonight. I was sat a few rows in front of Karl Fitzpatrick and he looked just as fed up as the rest of us. The quality and style of rugby is boring and so predictable, rather then five drives and kick it’s developed into five drives and a pass into touch.

Fortunately for Price that Challenge Cup win will enable him to keep his job next year, unfortunately I’m seriously doubting renewing my season ticket with him at the helm. I’ve more entertained watching our PDRL, Women’s & academy teams.

I have to say we are definately getting duller and less creative as time goes by. I would like to say that's because we're defense orientated.......but our defense is poor so can't use that one. Next year is the decider for me, if we can't do much with Widdop in the team a new Prop and centre then tactically i'll fully blame price and i'll walk him to the door myself.

There lies the problem with our fan base, shouldn’t take until next year it’s been obvious since end of April price isn’t the man to win us the grand final. He’s dropped the ball big time and should carry the fan as a result. We shouldn’t tolerate mediocrity!

The board seem to be very ruthless and no nonsense when it comes to players, particularly coming towards the end their contracts/end of their rugby careers. I don’t think the same goes for our head coaches based on recent history.

By virtue of the Challenge Cup win this has been a successful season.

However, we have regressed as a team significantly compared to last year. Losing 11 out of 16 is something a coach can get away with if its the second half of the season and they have started off well. If we had started the season in that form the coach would have likely been sacked mid season.

A year ago, despite finishing trophyless, I felt like we were considerably better at the end of 2018 than we were at the end of 2017. Now I feel we're more back where we were at the end of the TS era in 2017. Price will keep his job but we'll have to get back on track in 2020.

When we signed Widdop there was a lot of excitement, people saw him as the cherry on the cake who was going to take us that extra step towards being a Grand Final winning team. Now I think we need a lot more than Widdop to take us in to that territory. We need about 3 top class players to come in and I don't think that will happen.

Minimum 3 too Sally, king can’t draw a man let alone put a winger away, impact prop and a second row that can break a tackle ( as currie and Hughes have proved they’re not that type of second row keep one bin one)

I'm struggling to find a compelling reason as to why Price as head coach in 2020 will yield any better results. But he'll keep his job and we will have to watch the inevitable car crash play out in slow motion through the first half of 2020.
