how strange, even leigh are obliged to buy them, eventhough we are producing our own programme, surely we will lose money on this, as most people i would assume would probably stay loyal and buy the club programme.
We as a Club knew that the RFL were introducing this magazine, but felt our supporters would like to hear about our Club, at our stadium, in our programme. The Championship teams apparently voted in favour of this RFL publication - although I would suggest the way the RFL went about the voting process, relied heavily on communications within each club, being less than perfect!!
I'm not against the RFL publication - any publicity for the Championship must be good - but my fear always was, that the magazine would be re-hashing news that had already appeared in the 'trade' press. (especially as it is published, by the publishers of one of those weekly RL papers)
So, yes, we will lose money on the RL publication, but hopefully more will be tempted to buy the 'Centurion'
