NW Counties 8-12's, 13-15's & 16-18's are this weekend (Sun 15th March) hosting the SponsorBank Lancashire Cup Finals (first kick off 11am) at Widnes' Stobart Stadium. Many of tomorrow's stars will be playing and we hope that this is just the start of lots more silverware for them as they progress in the game. Entrance is just £3/Adult and £1/Child for 4 games with ALL monies made on the day by the 3 x Leagues going to very worthy childrens' hospices in the North West for those children far less fortunate than those able to participate. Please, if you can spare us the time, come down and watch these budding stars of the future and help us cheer them on. For more information just click on the poster!! is this the one the LSV was offered but they priced themselves out of it?

Sadly, as Fred stated, they did indeed price themselves out of the running to host it having come back with figures nearly twice that of Halton Council's Stobart Stadium.

The money saved has enabled us to provide hot meals for all players and coaches, free tickets for the parents and be able to donate whatever money we make on the day to children's hospices.

Strange that this was the same stadium who used the 8-12's to help them get their safety certificate but who now seem unable to reciprocate the favour!!

Anyway, that aside, hope that some of the people who use this board and particularly those that follow junior rugby in the town will come down and join us for what promises to be a great day.
